Animmation for opening
For the opening title sequence we decided to make our titles a bit like Monsters INC. With a animated title sequence, this involves the names of the actors and the cameraman (who is not real!) Anyway the titles have pictures of sweets and lollipops to suit the theme of the show. Also the theme song is a sound bridge from the first scene to the titles.

Changes to Storyboard
As we started the editing phase, Heather picked up on an important point. How can we read the article on the banned shops if the prime minister hasn't signed it yet? So we have decided to do a bit of shuffling with the storyboard, so now the presidential scene will come before the shots of the two main characters. But fortunatly we can use this in our favour, as this means we have changed our opening to make it slightly different to most openings, as the bad guy is seen before the main characters.

Ideas For Our Childrens Film.
When we were told to plan our children's film the first idea that came into our head was sweets, as children are addicted to the stuff, and this seems like a good basis for a film that will attract younger people.
IDEAS
- The idea we came up with was that all sweets in the UK have been banned by the government. A sugar addicted adolescences and his/her friend will come in wading through the rubbish,as the camera pans across empty sweet wrappers along the floor and the titles along the bottom of the screen. And exclaiming to his/her friend that all this sugar will make him/her ill. While the sugar addicted guy passes out after a sugar rush, while the other reads an article based on how sugar is now banned in the UK, The friend reads out that they only have a couple of hours till the shops shut for ever! After he/she turns round and sees the wheelie chair spinning round in circles without anyone on it, this will cut into a scene outside with the sugar addicted one running in the distance, with the friend chasing after shouting for them to wait up, this will pan up to show the title of the film. In the next scene it will be set in an office, with the prime minister sitting in the room with the culprit of the sugar heist. However the man will be hidden with a few clues to his identity.

Toy Story Analysis
In the intro to Toy Story they use many different conventions. They introduce the main characters Woody and Andy, however not much s given away about Woody, and it leaves a lot of questions about what is so interesting about Woody. The genre of the film is a fantasy animation adventure. It has a catchy soundtrack (produced by Randy Newman) this soundtrack represents Andy and Woody's friendship between the two. It also introduces the location the house, and the two main locations within that the bedroom and the living room. The locations are full of bright colours to attract the young colours. There is also a few hints of the narrative, like all the toys.

Preliminary Task: Filming and Editing
In our film we had to record many different angles, and used many different skills so we are ready to start our children's film. The only real difficulties we had was getting the conversation to match while talking. So we overcome this by doing the reaction shots after we finished the conversation.

Prelimary Task: Shot Types
Shot reverse shot is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character, and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character. Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other.
The 180 degree rule is a barrier in filming, where the camera must stay in a certain area for the viewer. The rule uses an imaginary line which cuts through the scene this is used because if the camera angle switches to the other side of the shot it creates disorientation.
Match on Action, is when the camera cuts to show the same scene at the same time but from a different view. So for example if there is a shot of someone opening the door, a match on action would be the door opening from another characters point of view.
